now playing function displays a basic RSS 2.0-like feed that describes what is currently playing on the channel.
Substitute the hostname, domain, or IP Address of your server instead of
||Range from 1 to 20 (depending on your server)||Channel ID. If omitted, Channel 1 is used.|
||Yes||“now” or “next”||Controls which event is returned; current or next|
Examples of valid URL parameters and what they return:
http://myserver:3000/xml/playing?when=now– Returns currently playing program on Channel 1.
http://myserver:3000/xml/playing?channel_id=2&when=now– Returns currently playing program on Channel 2.
The feed’s response can be tested in a web browser. Browse
http://myserver:3000/xml/playing?when=now in your web browser. The information displayed depends on your browser, but typically includes the program name, date and time of broadcast, and a description from the content metadata as in this example:
